From its beginnings in 2000, Spence Candies has quickly become known and respected as a producer/distributor of premium handmade chocolates and other delicious confections.

Born and raised in Kutztown, Pennsylvania, Wendie Spence learned the art of candy making from her mother and father, Joyce and Donald, using techniques and recipes taught to them by Wendie's grandmother, Ruth. These secret Pennsylvania German recipes, passed down through the generations, come alive once again with every delightful bite of these luscious sweets!

Truly hand-crafted, each unique piece is made to exacting standards. All of our centers are made from scratch and handcoated on a marble slab. Careful attention to detail plus an unwavering commitment to providing customer satisfaction creates a candy as pleasing to the eye as it is to the taste. It is no secret that Spence Candies make terrific gifts for family, friends, business associates, and especially yourself!

Indianola, Iowa was the original location of Spence Candies. Through the hard work of Wendie, her husband, Rob, and word-of-mouth praise from satisfied customers, the many varieties of Spence Candies soon became a much sought-after treat in area restaurants and gift shops. The arrival of a supply of Spence Candies to these locations would often create customer rushes to stock up!

Now relocated to Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania, and historic Lancaster County, Spence Candies has, in a sense, returned home. Proud of our history and excited for our future, we invite you to taste some of the best candy available. We look forward to serving you for many years to come!
